About me

Hannah was born and raised in Hong Kong. She has always enjoyed telling stories across disciplines; from pen to page or caught on camera.


Hannah completed her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art Film and Photography at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London. She undertook Post Graduate study in both Directing and Screenwriting at the Australian Film Television and Radio School. She was the 2013 recipient of the Ray Koppe Young Writers Award. Hannah has a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Technology, Sydney. Her recent publications in anthologies include: Imprint-Women in Publishing (poetry and photography), Allen and Unwin: Faber Academy Anthology (novel extract), FISH publishing (memoir), the UTS Anthology (creative non-fiction). She was also an issues writer for the Neighbourhood Paper, Australia.

Having worked on film sets for the last four years, Hannah also continues to invest time in independent projects. Her short film ‘Have You Heard of Josh Gray?’ won the 2013 Nova Focus on Ability Choice Award. This has since been expanded into a feature length documentary called ‘Inside Out’ currently in post-production with ‘Cheeky Monkey Productions,’ and produced by Joanna Bowers, director of the well-known feature documentary ‘The Helper.’ Hannah has directed short documentaries for the Youth Drug and Alcohol Courts and the Australian Children’s Music Foundation as well as producing a viral for UNICEF.
