The Writeability Workshops creatively empower individuals of all capabilities, ages and backgrounds.
Hannah’s philosophy for teaching creative writing is based on the work of educator James Catterall. Her programs help to build skills and confidence as well as compliment further learning. Hannah’s background in fine art and film give her a unique perspective on writing which is interdisciplinary, acknowledging the importance of other art forms. She holds private and school based creative writing workshops and talks.
One stream of her teaching is the inclusive writing workshops which are inspired by her sister Camilla who lives with Down syndrome. Individuals of all abilities are invited to participate in a community based, inclusive environment. Internationally acclaimed, published authors join workshops as guest facilitators. Finished work is presented to an audience, with a the future possibility to be published in an anthology.
The Writeability Workshops have worked alongside the Hong Kong International Literary Festival. Read more about this in this article from the South China Morning Post: https://yp.scmp.com/junior-reporters/reports/article/114709/why-diversity-and-inclusion-are-so-important-creative-arts
